Same Differences Unveils New Line of Stickers
Same Differences, a company that produces scrapbooking stickers depicting "everyday people" announced today its new line of stickers called "Everyday Sizes" depicting cartoon drawings of overweight people.
"New scrapbookers embrace their newfound hobby with high hopes," says Michael Venzor, co-owner of ScrapbookingDiversity.com, a website devoted to this topic. "The disappointment comes when consumers go to the stores and subscribe to the magazines and they don't see themselves." Same Differences produces several lines of stickers that reflect real-world people, such as kids with disabilities, childless couples, and people of different ethniticies. |

I don't get it - scrapbooking to me means using stickers of flowers, boats, THINGS to enhance the PHOTOS OF PEOPLE. Do some people scrapbook with just THINGS, like stickers, paper, punchies and stuff -- and no photos?!
WEIRD --- verrrrry wierd! I've NEVER bought stickers of PEOPLE --- that is who is in my PHOTO!! Scrapbooking is just a way to embellish a PHOTOGRAPH; and we've gone from simple labels to outright BOOKS and call it 'journaling.'
I guess I'm a minimalist - I like the photo to shine out, not all the doo-dads and a one-sided blurb about what's happening in the photo - if a well-taken photo does not do that in the first place, it's not worth scrapbooking!
