A company called "30 Minute Photos Etc." is offering to scan up to 1,000 of your old family photos, and put them on a CD, for the price of $49.95.

The use a high-speed Kodak scanner to convert images into 300 dpi (1 MB) digital CD files. They claim to complete your order, and ship back to you, on the same day they receive your photos.

If you happen to live in the Orange County, California area, you can bring them in, and they'll do it for you while you wait.

That is the greatest idea. I think many more people will turn to digital scrapbooking when they can get offers like this. Plus, it's a great way to archive your photos in case there is a disaster of somekind, you can have a backup CD with all your photos on it (in a safe deposit box).
